The College of Southern Nevada is often abbreviated as the CSN. Mainly as a two-year college in Clark County, Nevada, the College of Southern Nevada provides four-year degrees to its students. The College of Southern Nevada was established in the year of 1971 as the Clark County Community College. It was later known as a schools and the school became known as Community College of Southern Nevada approximately in the year of 1978. On 16th of March in the year of 2007, the Board of Regents of the Nevada System of Higher Education, selected to convert the name of the school to the College of Southern Nevada officially on 1st of July in the year of 2007.

The College of Southern Nevada has three primary campuses in the city of Las Vegas city region. All of these three campuses are the main campus in North of Las Vegas, the most recent campus in Henderson and the newer campus in middle of the Las Vegas. The campus situated in Northern part of Las Vegas is also known as the Cheyenne Campus from the time it is situated on the Cheyenne Avenue. The central campus of the College of Southern Nevada is renowned as the West Charleston Campus as the college is placed on the Western side of Charleston.
The West Charleston Campus is also in same the place where the administration of the College is placed. The Henderson campus of the College of Southern Nevada was opened in the year of 1981 and it has only three main structures at the contemporary time. Furthermore, the college of Southern Nevada has around forty seven campuses in four countries of southern Nevada. The college is an important part of the Nevada System of Higher Education so, the college is always trying to improve the educational system for the betterment of the education.
